Once you start blogging and start visiting other blogs, you will find that playing with your templates will soon come next. When I was still on Blogger, I created an unpublished site called Test Site. Very imaginative, eh? By the way, that’s one of the nice things about blogger, you can choose to not publish your blog to the public but you or members only can view it live.
Once I got my own domain, hosting and started on WordPress, I wasn’t sure how to test my new templates anymore. I created a subdomain called Test (that’s now this blog) but I couldn’t find a way to preview it but not make it live. I still used it for testing like on blogger and just hope against hope that no one would see it while I’m testing and it’s all over the place. What I didn’t know is, you can download WordPress to your hardrive and you can test your template tweaks there without having to test it on a live website! I’m going to have to share that link with my daughter, Jade, who is more into designing Themes than I am.

Thanks for that, I didn’t know it was even an ‘issue’ as of yet – I’m just getting back to using WP.
I’m looking forward to using your information to my benefit.
Bravo,
Pam Hoffman
