I’ve been blogging for at least a couple of years, maybe more, and I am proud to say I’ve picked up a few things here and there. I am no expert, I’ll tell you that now, but I’m willing to share what little I know.
I didn’t really know what blogging is all about until my then nine year old daughter started bugging me that she wants a website. Heck, what did I know about designing websites. Nada!
I started out looking at Yahoo! pages. They give you free pages to create your website on with templates and tutorials on how to get started. Most of the personal websites I looked at then were on geocities. But even those type of webpages were too complicated for me to follow. Plus, there was very little interaction, which my pre-teener was really keen on because she really wants to show off for her friends. Well, I better not say that or I’d be in trouble
Anyway, we finally stumbled on Blogger. It was easy to use and customize and it was a blog platform! That means people can leave you comments on whatever it is you write (called posts – I know that now). So we’ve been learning bits and pieces here and there and we’ve decided to share some of what we’ve learned here.
Hope we are able to help someone or at least amuse you as you read about our ‘AHA!’ moments.
